A daily pill called osimertinib has been found to cut the risk of dying from lung cancer by 51%, according to a decade-long study involving patients from 26 countries. The study, which looked at the pill’s effect on non-small cell lung cancer patients who had an EGFR mutation, found that treatment with osimertinib after surgery significantly lowered the risk of death.
